Our Solar Panels Started Production
Deniz Textile within Baltalı Group continues its efforts for sustainable production and environmental performance.
We have taken the first steps in our enterprises to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions and to use zero emission, environmentally friendly renewable resources in energy consumption. Solar panels installed in our Dyehouse, started production.
Panels installed on the roof of our factory's waste water heat recovery facility went into production. In the system consisting of 88 panels, each panel has a production capacity of 315 w. The electricity obtained from the system with a theoretical installed power of 88x315 w will be used in the water purification system pumps running continuously in our facility.
Thanks to these panels, nearly 60% of the energy consumed by the pumps in the area will be produced as green energy. The system that provides consumption from the network at night will benefit from solar panels during the day. When not used in this part, the electricity generated will be fed to the main transformer and can be used at different points in the factory. The Solar Panels structured by Ekz Project and Consultancy, will be implemented in our other factories in the coming days.
Baltalı Group Considers Solar Energy
Baltalı Group and Deniz Tekstil within its body, showed the importance they attached to the use of renewable resources for a sustainable environment with the Salbakos Solar Power Plant, which was commissioned in early 2017. The facility generates an average of 1.5 million kWh of electricity annually, thus contributes to the protection of the environment by preventing the emission of greenhouse gases equivalent to 1000 tons of CO².
